Let's embark on this journey and experience the incredible results that prayer and discipline can produce!
Although this devotion is initially scheduled for December 2, 2024-December 11, 2024, you can start it at any time. It's always a good time to have personal devotion and spend intentional, sacred time with yourself and God.
Here are the details. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
Time Length: 10 days
Theme Scripture: 1 Peter 5:10: "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you."
Prayer Points:
-Restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish me God
-Restore the years, months, days, peace, time, money, joy, and honor that the enemy stole from me.......as if it never happened, God.
-Wisdom to live a life that is a reflection of your grace so that you may be glorified through me, God.
Daily Action:
When you wake up, turn on some worship music and meditate on the above scripture (1 Peter 5:10) for 5 minutes
Read the scripture (1 Peter 5:10) twice a day and pray twice a day (more if the Holy Spirit is leading you to)
Listen to a 10 minute podcast, sermon, or something motivational that will enrich your life. Try to take away at least 1 principle that you will apply to your life
Eat light (3 small meals) or only eat 1 meal a day, preferably 3 hours before bedtime
On Day 3, start a "stop and start" new habit and continue that 1 new habit until it becomes a part of your daily life (Example of a stop and start: I will stop drinking lemonade daily. I will start drinking water daily. It may take you 30 days, 60 days, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year to form a new habit. Do not try to start more than 1 habit at a time. Habits should be built upon and not piled on as it is often difficult to try to create too many new habits at the same time. The mind has to first unlearn bad habits before learning new ones.)
Each night, journal or log the answers to the following:
-What did God say to me today?
-What did I learn about myself today?
-Did I fall short today? (if so, don't be hard on yourself just make a decision to do better tomorrow)
-In what way do I feel restored today?
Before going to bed, turn on worship music and mediate for 5 minutes on the scripture again (1 Peter 5:10)
Restrictions:
No cursing, lying, gossiping, anger, negative words or conversations, alcohol, drugs, wasteful spending, excess sugar, or any other acts of mental or physical destruction
You're going to look back and be so amazed at what God is going to do in your life. This doesn't have to be a one time thing. You can repeat this as often as necessary. I am praying with you and I look forward to hearing your testimonies so email them to me: info@pameladsmith.net
Restored,
